My name is Steve Jervis and I am currently in my 22nd overall year of teaching. I began teaching in 1999 and taught for 11 years at Tunkhannock Area High School. I was hired as the head football coach here at Lackawanna Trail in 2009 and began teaching here in 2010. I currently teach 8th grade Integrated Science and Environmental Science which is an elective course geared toward 11th and 12th grade students.
I graduated from Lafayette College in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I earned my Secondary Education Teaching certificate in 1999 from King’s College. I have since received my master’s degree in Education from Wilkes University in 2005. I am certified to teach Biology, General Science and Earth/Space Science.
I truly enjoy teaching and coaching and really couldn’t imagine doing anything different. It is my passion to help students reach their full potential in the classroom and on the athletic field and Lackawanna Trail is a great place in which to do both.
