Thank you for visiting Lackawanna Trail Jr. Sr. High School!

Our school building serves approximately 500 students in grades 7-12. We are proud to offer students and their families two platforms for learning during the ongoing challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students have the option to attend in-person classes, five days per week, in socially-distanced classes that feature a 1:1 technology initiative and 21st century instructional practices. Alternatively, students may choose to join their classes synchronously from home, learn from our faculty, and enjoy all of all of the traditional benefits of a first class public education. No matter your preference for learning we are all one learning community and we are all LT Lions!

We pride ourselves on having high expectations for student achievement in the classroom and providing diverse opportunities for learning to all students. At Lackawanna Trail you will find a dynamic blend of rigorous coursework and extra and co-curricular offerings designed to support students of all interests and talents. From industrial arts to interscholastic athletics, visual art to music, our students continually demonstrate high achievement in diverse curricula and extracurricular activities because of their strong work ethic and positivity.

Our graduates are routinely accepted into the area’s best colleges and universities. More importantly, graduates report feeling prepared for the rigor of college coursework and demands of high need jobs. With a wide array of Advanced-Placement and Due-Enrollment courses, Trail graduates are able to enter their first year of college having already experienced post-secondary success and having earned college credits. We also have many students who use skills and certificates gained from concurrent enrollment at Lackawanna Trail High School and area Career and Technical Centers to find high-demand jobs in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We also salute our graduates who pursue active service in the military and military reserves.

Our secret to success is our faculty and staff who are second-to-none, expert educators, who work tirelessly to ensure their students success. We are continually growing and expanding to meet the challenges of the day and help our students achieve at unprecedented levels. Amidst the challenges of COVID-19 LTHS is leading the way in Northeast PA in the class and online!

As principal, I am proud to showcase the very best our school has to offer. If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
