Hello, my name is Miss Rachel Sapio. I am a learning support teacher at Lackawanna Trail Elementary Center. I am an East Stroudsburg University graduate, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and a Masters of Education in Special Education & Rehabilitation. I have been working at LTEC since 2013. The purpose of my job is to create an individualized education plan for my students, which will help them succeed academically. It’s individualized because every student is unique, with his or her own particular strengths and weaknesses. The academic goals and expectations the IEP team has for them is the same as their regular education classmates. I monitor their progress regularly, and adjust my instruction accordingly.
