Welcome to Lackawanna Trail! My name is Marisa Ryon and I’m so excited and honored to be part of your first year in our district! I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Marywood University and my master’s degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University. I’ve been teaching since 2001! I’ve had great experiences at the Pocono Mountain School District and Abington Heights School District teaching Kindergarten, First and Second Grades. This is my second year at Lackawanna Trail and I’m loving every second in Kindergarten!
I love sports! In my spare time I help organize and coach our future athletes in Trail Youth Basketball and Christy Mathewson Softball. There are many lessons learned on the field and the court which can prepare our student athletes for success in life. In my classroom, my approach includes a strength based system that amplifies asset- building and magnifies each student’s personal gifts. Our Kindergarten Team strives to teach with enthusiasm and positivity that we hope our students carry with them through their formative years of learning and living. Together we will share the values of Lion Pride: Responsibility, Organization, Acceptance and Respect!
