Laura Hardiman
English Language Arts Department
My name is Mrs. Laura Hardiman. This year, I will be teaching 8th grade English Language Arts, 10th Grade English, and 10th Grade Honors English. Although this is my first year at Lackawanna Trail, I have been teaching for the past thirteen years, with the last twelve years being at Carbondale Area. I have a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education and a master’s degree in Education focusing on Curriculum and Instruction, both from King’s College. I have three teaching certifications and most recently obtained my STEM Endorsement.
I believe in creating an environment where students not only feel safe and ready to learn, but where they can also take away skills that will help them become productive members of society. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, and most importantly spending time with my husband, two young children, and our dog.
