Welcome to my page! I’m Dina Berrios, and I am both the teacher of the Gifted and the English as a Second Language teacher in both our elementary and high school buildings for grades K-12 for this 2023-2024 school year. Starting in 1994 here at Trail, I taught 6th grade learning support at our elementary center for the first 20 years of my career, then made a move to our high school in 2014 to teach Emotional Support up to the 2022-2023 school year. I received my bachelor’s degree in Special Education at Marywood University in 1993 and my master’s degree in Elementary Education in 1998 from Marywood as well. I am also certified as an ESL and Reading Specialist.
I believe in the social and emotional well-being of all our students. I work on a daily basis to improve high school students’ social, emotional, and academic skills while strengthening the relationships among students and between students and teachers. All of this helps to create a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students’ ability to succeed in school, careers, and life.
