• Hello, and thank you for visiting this webpage.

My name is Shannon Kuchak. Although I am the new Principal of Student Management, K-12, it has been my privilege to serve the Trail community as a teacher for the past 15 years. I truly enjoyed working alongside our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our fabulous students, and all of our supportive families. I am honored to continue these relationships in a larger capacity as part of the Lackawanna Trail Administrative Team.

Being an educator in the Trail community is not just a job for me, it is a way of life. I am also a parent in this wonderful community, and I would not want to raise my daughter anywhere else. I have experienced first-hand how Trail rallies to support one another during difficult times and joins together in celebration during times of success. I am so proud to be a part of the Lion Pride!

I bring to this position 20 years of experience as an educator. I have taught in Learning Support, Emotional Support, and General Education classrooms with students from 3rd to 12th grade. I hold certifications in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Educational Leadership and am currently pursuing a certification in Special Education Supervision. I am confident that my diverse education and experience will make me a valuable asset to the school and community.

As the Principal of Student Management, I will uphold our district’s mission of providing “a safe and challenging learning environment where all students will develop to their fullest potential.” I will work to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in the potential of every student.

I firmly believe in open communication and strong home and school connections. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns. I passionately believe that the education of our children is a most difficult and rewarding job, one that cannot be accomplished without the support of families and the surrounding community. I want to thank you so much for sharing your children with me over the years. In my heart, they have become “my kids” too. Thank you for the support you have given me. I am looking forward to the great things we can accomplish together.

    In partnership with you,

    Shannon M. Kuchak

    Principal of Student Management, K-12
