The CRCC North Central Robotic Finals Coding Competition was held in Harrisburg Pa on December 12th, 2019. Lackawanna Trail School District was represented at the finals by the following coders: Nick Wright, Avery Ronchi, Kian Johns, Maddie Carpenter, Ethan Gorton and Tyler Jervis. Several Trail Coders were recognized for completing 103 of the 103 challenges necessary to compete in the finals. Those students are Tyler Jervis, Avery Ronchi, Zachary Ross and Lilyanne Hunting. The coaches this year were Craig Muller, Gail Franko and Chris Gercken. Congratulations to all Trail Coders. We are so very proud of you and your accomplishments!

The Lackawanna Trail Elementary Center recently received a 2019 Educational Alliance School Grant for $500. This grant was awarded to the school by the Exxon Mobil Corporation.

MMS Parent Portal Access for the 2019-2020 school year
Dear Parent and Students,
The website address for the MMS Parent Portal has been updated. Please access the new site by clicking on the following address. Delete any old links that you may have saved. If you attempt to use an old link, you will receive an error.
If you remember your username and password from previous years, please enter it in. If you need to create an account, please click on “Create Parent Account” located underneath Log in. On the next screen, enter your First Name, Last Name, any Username that you would like to use for the portals, the 5 digit Student ID of your child and the Email Address that the school has on file. Click on save.
You should see a message telling you that your account was successfully created and to check your email so that you can set your password. The email will come from email@example.com and will contain a link that you will need to click on where you will be able to set your password. Once you set your password, you should be able to enter your username (the one that you just entered when creating your account) and the password that you just set and click Log in.

Beginning January 1, 2016, all volunteers at LTEC must have the following clearances on file in the main office:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
- Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background
This includes but is not limited to homeroom parents, Kid Writing volunteers, parents chaperoning field trips, and all PTO board members. Please click the link below for further information (click clearances on the left side of the page). If you need further clarification, an informational packet is available in the main office.
Once you have obtained the approved clearances, please drop them off at the main office.
