    Right to Education Local Task Force  #19

     Serving the member school districts of the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19 (NEIU 19)

    Primary Purpose

    The primary purpose of the Right to  Education Local Task Force # 19 (LTF #19) is to make recommendations that assist in improving, expanding, and monitoring programs and services for children eligible for special education supports and services.

    LTF #19 includes family members, educators, providers, and professional representation from the The Arc-NEPA, NEIU, and Lackawanna and Susquehanna County administrators.  Together this group works to plan opportunities that ensure that all eligible children receive and individualized, free and appropriate public education (FAPE).

    The Local Task Force Meetings provide an opportunity for parents to share concerns and gain information about special education services.  We need your attendance to build a community of parents, educators, and community supports to assist one another in overcoming challenges to receiving services.
